GARMENT 2 INSPIRATION

The second garment was originally going to be a layered top, however I felt that this would be too similar to the third garment. So I decided to design a jacket/poncho instead. This way the two garments could be styled together in a photo shoot and it could be quite effective.

Originally this was my inspiration for the jacket, however I felt that it didn't really reflect the message of the brand and the image I want to portray. So I ams across designers like Vis Vim and Greg Lauren who both work in a similar way in terms of the detailing and construction of their garments. 

Greg Laurens collections really inspired this garment for me, I really felt like the fused/contrasting fabrics, really spoke volumes about the brand and the authenticity, and one off quality. For this garment, i would source existing pieces to fuse together, similar to the upcylced knitted piece.
