CONCEPT PUBLICATION DESIGN

The publication is something that is an overall understanding of the brand, I want it to be filled with imagery, illustration, text, literature and poems that all relate to the message of the brand which is to do with an urban, nomadic lifestyle. 'The Lost' is the name of the brand and will therefore be the title of the publication.

There will be 3-4 spreads per garment, outlining their characteristics and qualities. I feel that this is one of the most important aspects to the book, as the garments are what form the brand as a visual understanding. Illustrations will be used in freehand way, to add an element of the rawness and authenticity of the brands image. Choosing the right poems and literature for the publication is important, as I want people who read it to envision themselves as the nomad. 

The publication will be between 40 and 50 pages. I don't feel like it needs to be much longer than this, as it will be mainly imagery. I also want the book to be fairly simple and stripped back of anything too complicated or busy. The pages will be kept to a minimal aesthetic as I feel that best represents me as a creative and also for the urban and contemporary side to the brand. 

The publication will be perfect bound and the front cover will be in an organic look/feel stock. I will be printing the book with Pressision in Leeds to ensure the highest quality print and overall professional look and feel of the publication.
